Open Access Publishing
I strongly believe in Open Access publishing in academia, particularly where research is publically funded. Finding good quality, peer-reveiwed OA publication venues that target your intended audience or serve a particular field isn’t always easy, so when I was active in front-line research I put together this page with three lists: one of places to look for OA journals; one of one of journals for Historians of Religion; and one of journals for Old Norse Medievalists. The list might be a little out of date now, but I'll leave it up in case anyone finds it useful!
The Danish BFI and Norwegian NSD are systems for ranking the preceived quality of a journal. In both cases level 2 journals are judged to be superior to level 1, and both are assumed to be superior to unranked journals.
